Tibi Guzman on the Human Cost of Government Funding Cuts

Tibi Guzman leads The Arc Westchester, the county’s largest provider of services for people with developmental disabilities, and she’s watching Washington threaten every part of it at once. Proposed federal Medicaid cuts and the ongoing government shutdown put housing, day programs, employment training and SNAP benefits at risk for thousands of Westchester families. Guzman talked with Jim about what that loss would actually mean, and about her own son’s job at Regeneron as proof of what’s possible when the supports hold.
